The Scotch Whisky is a unique drink, protected by statute of law. To be called Scotch Whisky, it must be:-

• Distilled in Scotland from natural ingredients, water, malted barley and other cereals
• Filled into oak casks
• Warehoused in Scotland for at least three years

Once it is matured and ready for use, the only additives permitted are de-mineralised water to make the Scotch the required alcoholic strength, and caramel, to allow the product to have a consistent colour standard.

Scotch Whisky is enjoyed the world over by consumers who drink it straight, with ice, cola, green tea, and anything else they want to try. It is sold as a standard blend, single malt and deluxe blend, from good value for money variants to the very expensive, with the rarest old bottles fetching up to £25,000 ($50,000) each!
