We have a great and ever growing customer base in the Far-East who love our smooth and mellow Tomintoul Single Malt Scotch Whisky and our fresh and elegantly flavoured Glencadam Whisky. Each year we attend events supporting our distributors and representatives around the world. Last month our Master Distiller Robert Fleming was attending a few shows and presentations in Taiwan and China. The first was in Taiwan, attending the third annual whisky luxe exhibition in Taipei with our long term distributors 'the drinks company'. The exhibition took place in August, on the 14th floor of Taipei cultural and creative building for a Casino Royal, James Bond themed exhibition. It wasn't long before Robert headed to China after a brief trip from Taiwan to Scotland for Tomintoul's 50th celebrations.

It's always great introducing people to Tomintoul and Glencadam family whilst connecting with our existing customers and distributors.
Here at Angus Dundee we always try to come up with sustainable ways to help the environment and one of the things we do is to upcycle our over-mature or often referred to 'spent' casks.
Usually these casks are re-used as water butts or garden tubs; this time however, our matured casks were re-used to brew specially crafted beer. We sent our matured casks over to a US hand craft beer company Saranac, who specially requested our casks to brew their 'single malt barrel scotch ale'.
To make it a Scotch ale or 'real ale' they required casks from Scotland for a second fermentation process and what better than using an oak barrel. Not just any oak barrel, a matured whisky oak barrel, specially selected by our master distiller Robert Flemming to infuse it's unique flavours and characteristics to the ale.

This October Tomintoul and Glencadam will be at the UK's finest whisky festival 'The Whisky Exchange Whisky Tasting Show'. A spectacular event bringing all whisky distillers and aficionados together with food and whisky tasting. The event will be held at the Old Billingsgate, North of the London Bridge so if you want to be part of this spectacular day tickets are now on sale on the whisky show website www.whiskyshow.com it's not a day to be missed!
This weekend Tomintoul Whisky and Glendcam Whisky were at the BBC Good Food Festival at Hampton Court Palace. It was a great 3 days with lots of whisky tasting, meeting and introducing people to the Tomintoul and Glencadam Single Malt Whisky families, Including our Old Ballantruan Peated Malt Whisky which went down a treat with many! Below before the festivities began with one of our amazing team members!

Left to right we have our Tomintoul Peated Single Malt Whisky followed by aged 10 years, limited edition 12 years, one with a Sherry finish and the other with Portwood finish, aged 14 and aged 16 years. The 3 days event was greeted with whisky and non-whisky lovers (which all where converts once they tried our delicious gentle dram whisky).

The third day (as pictured above) was greeted with rain! However, that didn't spoil the fun! A swig or two of our Tomintoul Single malt whisky was enough to keep the cold away.
