Glencadam 17 year old Triple Cask Portwood Finish gets awarded the highest merit with a MASTER at the Scotch Whisky Masters 2015

Glencadam 17yo Portwood Triple Cask finish has just been awarded the highest merit with a MASTER at the Scotch Whisky Masters 2015.
This new Glencadam 17yo Portwood finish is a special limited edition of only 1,128 bottles - named "the Exquisite" this one is true to its name! Simply Fabulous!

This rare edition of Glencdam Highland Single Malt - Portwood Finish is a very limited quantity of Glencadam Highland Single Malt, aged 17 years which has just been released. The Triple Cask Portwood Finish has been created by the careful selection of three Portwood hogshead casks. The malt whisky was transferred from Bourbon casks into the hand-picked Portwood casks to “finish” the maturation for a number of years.

This process of “finishing” bestows on the whisky refined characteristics, most notably, tones of fruity Port sweetness. Our Master Distiller deemed that the time was right to bottle the whisky at 17 years of age when the malt whisky flavour notes had reached harmony with the sweet attributes of the Portwood.Spirits business glen 17

Just 1128 bottles were produced from the three casks and each bottle is individually numbered. The result is an “exquisite” and beautifully crafted Glencadam Highland Single Malt expression.
